Hot Pursuit 2010: If it wasn't for the free-roam, it would have taken Rivals place. But it's a Burnout with licensed cars, police chases, and a solid map. Most Wanted 2012: Granted, it's a Burnout. I really never minded about the glitches. Not only did it improve HP's problems (like the boring free-roam), but it went even further. Rivals: For me, a Hot Pursuit in steroids. The one that had more impact on me was U1, because I actually finished it, and it was my 1st NFS game. Not even the Halo soundtrack gets me so excited.Ī mix of intense music coupled with the craziest events made of The Run a really enjoyable game. But the selling points were: a) Events like Vegas, Summit, or Industrial Plant: I'm talking about those extra challenges that made the races more difficult and/or interesting and b) The OST soundtrack.

I loved the physics, the sprints, the car selection, Extreme difficulty (I think I lost some brain cells back then), and the visuals. The Run: After Carbon, I missed the NFS installments until this one. I smile everytime I think of the last pursuit with the M3, which ultimately became one of my all-time favorite cars. in Rockport, and the Most Wanted street racer. From zero to hero: becoming the best driver. Hated it afterwards until lately, where it's more of a guilty pleasure if anything.) Oh, and the framerate issues on 360.)Ģ015 (Went from "hey, I like this game" until I saw past the bullshit after Ghost dropped support for the game. Rivals (I thought this was the last good NFS but the crash cams and the OP cops kinda made that opinion decay a bit. coughcsr2andasphalt8cough)Įdge (At least, in its beta form, anyway. No Limits (Honestly? It's the lesser evil of all the other racing mobile games out there. Physics took time to get used to after revisiting it lately.) The Run (Looking back, I enjoyed it a lot at launch despite its short career. Underground (First NFS game, but looking back the physics were a bit ass, so)Ĭarbon (First NFS game I ended up completing the career of) High Stakes (Picked this one up recently thanks to a friend, I enjoy it quite a bit but I need to play more of it to form a better opinion on it.) It's actually great, but I'll have to agree that it shouldn't have the MW name.) Most Wanted 2012 (Gonna have to put my flame shield up for this one. Hot Pursuit 2010 (While everyone shits on Criterion, this is definitely the best NFS title during the 2010's era.) Most Wanted '05 (High replay value, has the smoothest physics imo, the huge modding community) Underground 2 (Probably one of the first NFS games I truly sunk time into myself) 1st: Need for Speed: Underground 2 (2004) What about your ranking? :)Ĭan't really rank them all in exact order but I'll try anyway.2nd: Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005).3rd: Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed (PC version, 2000) Tier 1 – Racing game classics:.4th: Need for Speed: Underground (2003).5th: Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 (PS2 version, 2002).6th: Need for Speed: High Stakes (PC version, 1999).7th: Shift 2: Unleashed (2011) Tier 2 – Great:.10th: Need for Speed: ProStreet (2007).

Looks like I've played them all! Been following the series since I was 5 year old, racing on NFS III: Hot Pursuit. To me, NFS 2015 felt like a small step in the right direction. I hope Need for Speed: Payback will be a good episode.
